## Important

This process erases the current operating system and data on the drive. Make sure the disk decryption password is written down safely; if it is forgotten, the encrypted data cannot be recovered.

## Start the installer

1. Connect the Zorin OS recovery USB drive.
2. Turn the computer on and press `F2` or `Down Arrow` to open the coreboot boot menu.
3. Select the USB drive and start the Zorin OS installer.

## Enable encryption

1. When asked how to install Zorin OS, select **Erase disk and install Zorin OS**.
2. Before clicking **Install Now**, select **Additional features...** or **Advanced features...**.
3. Select **Use LVM with the new Zorin OS installation**.
4. Select **Encrypt the new Zorin OS installation for security**.
5. Click **OK**, then **Install Now**.
6. Enter a disk decryption password in **Choose a security key**, then repeat it in the confirmation field.
7. Continue through the remaining installer steps normally.
