StarLite Mk V

Due to the high demand, we do have a significant backlog of orders and are working as quickly as possible to get these fulfilled. We must honour the chronological order in which the StarLites were purchased ensuring fairness to all customers - I hope you can empathise with this.

Based on our current operational pace, we anticipate dispatching all Lite orders within the next four weeks.

The Lite's have arrived! We're making a start now, we've got a lot of orders to send out so please bear with us.

For anyone wondering, the displays have not changed; only the latest batch uses a different 2k display (if you'd like to swap to this display, as it's usable as native resolution, please just let us know).

The Lites are due to arrive today, and the driver is expected to arrive around lunchtime.

Flight confirmed for the 25th of March which will arrive in the UK on the 26th. Customs clearance usually takes 2-3 working days which we are warned will take slightly longer due to the Easter weekend. Realistically, this puts the Lite's arrival on the 2nd of April ready for us to promptly dispatch orders.

For those who haven't placed an order yet, another batch is now in production and is expected to be complete in approximately 6 weeks. Stay tuned and click on the "Get notified when available" button on the configure page to be ready to place your pre-order.

We are yet to receive a confirmed date for the shipment of Lite's, but we can work out when they'll be arriving with a relative degree of accuracy based on the shipment of Byte's that are heading over to us. The Byte's are much simpler to ship, as they don't have batteries, and airlines won't classify them as dangerous goods, so there are many more shipping options. The shipment of Byte's are due to arrive on the 5th or 6th.

The administration for the battery typically takes around 5-7 days, which means they will arrive around the 13th. This will all be confirmed very soon, so we'll post that date as soon as it is.

Once they arrive, it's just a case of us finishing them and sending them on to you guys for you to enjoy!

The good news is that the StarLites are done. Unfortunately, the Chinese New Year has started. Once the holiday's over, we'll start quality control. We expect to have some refined dates by the 23rd and we will be sure to post these as soon as we get them.

Due to clearance issues over the holiday period, the test for our burn-in process was delayed. This has now been completed, so the StarLite's just need to be burnt and go through quality control, and then they're ready to ship over to us. Once that's done, we'll be able to provide an accurate ETA, but we are expecting the events in the Red Sea and Chinese New Year to push this back slightly.

The StarLite's are expected to arrive in the new year. We are targeting mid-January to dispatch these and kick start the year on a positive note!

Production for the StarLite itself along with the optional US and UK layouts are estimated to finish production just before Christmas. Due to how successful the launch has been for the StarLite, we have managed to get another batch underway already and source additional displays to make this happen!

The StarLite's themselves, are unfortunately running behind our original estimate due to a few components arriving later than originally planned which has had a knock-on effect with our production schedule. We've got lots of different build options, such as the keyboards, pens etc, which have different lead times. These are all unaffected, apart from the ISO-based keyboards, which are running approximately a week ahead of schedule.

The total delay is anticipated to be around 6 weeks for the tablets themselves, so please allow for this time on top of the estimated lead time that was quoted on your order.

This week the 12.5' inch displays have passed quality control and the N200 CPUs have arrived at the factory. All other components have arrived prior to this.

Production is now underway! With over half of the first batch already sold, we're already looking to put another batch into production.

We will soon be releasing a new StarLite. It's quite a change, built to accommodate a vast array of requests we've received over the last 2 years and we are working diligently behind the scenes to ensure that we can provide an update on this as soon as possible.
