1. Start with the Star Lite Mk V on a soft, protected surface to avoid any possible scratching.
2. Remove Micro SD card tray (you will need to insert a pin into the hole to pop it out)
3. Using the plastic pick, gently wedge this between the display and the backplate to separate the two components away from each other.
4. Carefully lift the backplate 90' degrees as you will need to separate two ribbon cables that are attached to the backplate and the mainboard.
5. Once the backplate is carefully removed, you are presented with the components underneath. Start off by removing the battery.
6. Disconnect the display connector by lifting up the fine clamp and gently pulling out the cable.
7. Unscrew the singular screw holding the SSD in the connector and then disconnect the drive from the mainboard.
8. Unscrew the 2 x screws holding both the left and right speakers in place. You can then disconnect the speaker cable from the mainboard.
9. Remove the touch and I/O ribbon cables from the mainboard.
10. Disconnect the accelerometer ribbon cable.
11. Using your pick, carefully and gently lift the antennas away from the wireless card.
12. Remove the 5 black mainboard screws and remove this from the chassis.
13. Unscrew the 2 screws from the I/O Board.
14. As the battery is taped down, gently lift the battery away from the chassis.
15. Disassembly is complete. Reassembly is the reverse of these steps.
Note: When reattaching the backplate start by lining up the camera first, and then gently pushing around the edged to clip the backplate back into place.
